Gosh, I haven't updated in forever it seems. Sydnee is now 17 month old(turned 17 months on the 14th). This girl is SO funny! She says about 15 different works now. Her favorite right now is say no while shaking her head. I lease I know what she wants and doesn't want to eat during the day. She loves cell phone and pretending to talk on the phone with anything she has in her hand. She really has a conversation with herself. She loves computers, she still loves her little piano. She plays it all the time while singing out loud. She loves dancing. She was watching the movie Step up, and now tried to break dance every time she hears music. It's so funny watching her try to spin on her head. We have started potty training about 3 weeks ago, had she has used her potty about 5 times. She even used it twice in one day. Not bad for a 16 month old. I have been slacking on it though lately. She just started walking a few weeks ago, so that's exciting! it's amusing watching her walk. She now loves stuffed animals and her dolly that her grandpa bought for her before she turned one, which she hated until now. She is still the most happyist baby I have ever seen. Always smiling. This girl is a Big flirt too. She loves boy and always has. She just stared at them. It's funny if we pass a toddler around her age, she gets this big smile on her face and just stare at him. When we were at the doctor's office week ago, there was a boy who looked to be about 15 who was there with his mother, we were all sitting down and Sydnee would not stop smiling at him ans staring. him and his mother just kept laughing along with me and my sister and then his mother tells me, Sydnee is such a big flirt and that she loved her, lol! I told her she definitely is and that she just really likes boys. Her uncles are just smitten with her, they want to see her everyday. It's quite annoying actually. In other news, Sydnee has fallen out of her crib twice now. So her crib needs to be lowered. She fell the other day and scraped her the side of her mouth, She has quite a long line from her cheek to her mouth. Poor thing! Well I'll leave with come pics I have taken of her in the last month.

Stitches taken out...

Had my stitches taking out today, and OMG it was SO painful!!!! The dang doctor kept getting mad at me for clenching my legs and acting like I was overreacting. It stung so bad! felt like I was being cut with knives. He doesn't have a vagina so he doesn't know how painful it could be. I had a lot of stitching and the surgery was only 10 days ago so there was still a lot of pain down there to begin with, mostly from the swelling that the stitches were causing. I still have one more stitch that is inside that he didn't get because he said I wouldn't let him. He also found another cyst up there when he was feeling around that he missed. He wants me to go back Friday and he'll remove the other stitch and see then if he'll need to remove it. Gosh that would mean another surgery. By the time he was done, my legs were so shaky and by the time I got home and out of the car, I just couldn't take Sydnee out of the carseat because of all the pain I was in. I then felt a little gush and sure enough I was bleeing like a light period. My whole vagina is just burning from the speculum that he kept shoving up there and his dang fingers, not to mention the irritation from the removal of the stitches. The only good thing is that he was able to use a speculum, before not at all. The dang pain meds aren't working!

Hi ladies and thank you so much!! you all mean a lot to me! I wasn't suppose to bring anything to the hospital with me, but I got to go home early(just got back) and I am a little out of it. Very dizzy! We arrived at about 12pm and I got changed and then laid in the hospital bed for hours, they put in my IV at around 1:30 and then wheeled me in at 2:47. They kept giving me morphine and that stuff burned SO bad while going through my IV. I fell asleep about 10mins later. My mom said the surgery lasted for about 2 1/2 hours, but nobody told her when I got out of recovery so that she could see me until 4 hours later so she was mad! Anyway's, the doctor told her the surgery went great and that it was a good thing I had it, because I had a huge cyst that had formed that needed to be drained and removed before it burst and caused an infection. It was the gland that controls the vagina lubrication and controls cm. He also removed a block of very thick scar tissue. Now I need to make me an appointment to get checked out by him in 10-14 days, he's going to remove the stitched(ouch!) My mom said I was really out of it last night, that I kept saying how much pain I was in and that I had one eye open, but it kept rolling back into the back of my head so that you could only see the white part. She said it freaked her out. The doctor had to keep giving me pain meds because the pain wouldn't go away and I kept going in and out of consciousness and kept asking my mom the same questions. I keep asking her the same questions today too though, lol! They took out my catheter at I think 12pm and then had me pee an hour later, I made sure my urine was diluted so that it wouldn't burn much and then they tried to put another catheter back in there and I was not going for that. We went back and forth on this for about 5 minutes and then she said well you can tell me I refuse it and then she'll let the doctor know. So I told her I refuse. She said it was to make sure I was emptying out my whole bladder. They also took out 4 feet of a long thick strip of paper they had impacted up there to keep the walls of my vagina from bleeding out all over. So that was uncomfortable when they were taking that out. My doctor told me earlier that it would be ok for me to bathe twice a day(especially since AF started yesterday), but the discharge nurse keeping telling me no baths, just showers. I'm going to call my doctor about this. I am still in a lot of pain and dizzy from the vicodin which hasn't helped the pain at all. Just makes me out of it!! Sydnee was great for grandma and grandpa. She slept a lot! I am not aloud to pick her up though for while. I cant lift anything 10lbs and over and I cant bend. A month ago I went to see a different doctor about how the left side of my vagina was swollen and so sore. I mean it was big, she looked at it and just told me that the doctor who stitched me up didn't stitch me up evenly and that my vagina was just lopsided now. I knew that wasn't the case since it wasn't always like that and it felt swollen, now to find out that it was a huge cyst about to burst. Ugh.. doctors!

Surgery update

I had to go in for a pre-op(however you spell it) and had to get an EKG, blood work, and chest x-ray. It was such a hassle!! there was always some kind of problem. I was there for 4 hours. Sydnee was really good for the most part. Just laughing and baby talking away trying to get everyone's attention that past by her. She is SO friendly! had lots of people laughing with her. Surgery is at 2pm tomorrow, so I have to be there by 12pm. I cant eat or anything after 12am. Surgery will last up to 4 hours and I will be in the hospital up to 7 days, I'll probably be able to go home after a few days though. It just depends on how well I'll be able to take the pain. Then I'll be on strong pain meds for awhile. My brother and his girlfriend will be watching Sydnee tomorrow. They just love her and vise versa. My mom will be going with me and then she'll be watching Sydnee for about a week and bring her to visit me. This will be the first time I wont have Sydnee sleeping right by me in her crib next to my bed. :(

But at least she'll still go to sleep without me in the room. So she should be fine with grandma. She adores her, so I'm sure she will.

Sydnee and I both had doctor appointments

Well Sydnee and I both had a doctor's appointment on Wednesday. I had left and 11:30am to make my appointment at 12:30pm and then after it was over and had to go to Sydnee's appointment at 2:45pm and didn't get home until 4pm. So there went my day. I had to see a specialist to see if I would need to have Construction surgery and I do. He drew what he would be doing during the surgery and they are going to re-cut and remove a lot of the left side of my vagina where I have a lot of scar tissue, because I have to much scar tissue around my vagina and the opening is too small(can hardly fit a finger up there and that is still pretty painful!!). I have nerve damage which makes it REALLY painful and scar tissue doesn't stretch. So on Tuesday next week, I'll be having up to a 2 hour surgery on my vagina and then get it re stitched up. I am dreading this SO much just remembering the pain I went through after having Sydnee with not being able to sit and being in pain all the time, not to mention it burns like someone poured acid on my vagina when peeing. Ugh!! He said the stitches will cause inflammation. I'll have the dissolving ones and a different one that I'll have to have removed in like 2 weeks after(that is going to hurt so bad). I cringe just thinking about it. I'll be there overnight and will be put under and have to get a catheter put it. I hate those!! They'll be putting something(that looks like a tampon) in my vagina after surgery that they'll take out later and then I'll have to go back and get it checked out within 2 weeks(which is what he said my other doctor should have done). Then I'll have to put a dilator up there everyday to keep the opening from shrinking small again. Get this the dilator is like a dildo, lol! This is going to be painful! I'm going to be checked about every 2 weeks. His goal is to have my vagina stretch to 3 fingers. I just want to wear tampons again! He also said I wont be having any more vaginal births, because my vagina would tear 10 times worse then it did before(and that was extremely bad! I tore from my rectum all the way up and my labia tore as well). My vagina looked like it went through a meat grinder. He said it would be like shattered glass because my vagina will no longer stretch. I'll be getting a c-section with future babies.
In other news, Sydnee was just Awful through the appointment(screamed and had a fit!), I guess because she missed her nap. She was even worse at her appointment at 2:45pm. She cried hysterical the whole time and then had to get 5 shots. She weighs over 24lbs and is 29 1/2in long(I guess she shrunk or one of the nurses didn't do a good job of measuring). She was 30in at her last 9 month visit. She's still above average though.

I haven't posted in awhile. Not much has been happening though. Sydnee got sick for the first time at 10 months. Almost made it a year, but my younger sister who had gotten the flu recently(didn't tell my until after she was around Sydnee or I would have told her stay away for a few days) was around Sydnee and kissing her on the face. Well the next day, Sydnee was cranky and then started throwing up non stop and crying, Then had a fever and then diarrhea for a week. It was a hectic week. Then I got the flu and couldn't stop throwing up all night. It was Awful!!

Well anyways, Sydnee copies people a lot more now. When she's taking a bath, she'll rub her hands together and then rub her stomach like she's cleaning herself. She took her grandma's cell phone the other day and held it up to her cheek and started rambling. The other day she was on the floor and had a piece of a paper towel and starting scrubbing the floor with it. It was TOO Cute!! She turned 1 on the 14th, but had a party on the 17th. I think she had fun, she liked the jumper. She LOVES music, so every time she hears music, she dances to it. Still not walking yet. Maybe in another month. You can tell she's scared too. Not to mention she's a little wobbly on her feet. She'll walk around while holding onto things, but prefers to crawl and get into everything. Sydnee's first blood draw...

Sydnee's pedi wants to make sure she's getting enough iron since she's eating finger foods now. Sydnee had a blood draw yesterday afternoon and she didn't cry or anything. She did amazing!!! especially since the nurse kept taking out the needle and putting it back in and moving it sideways over and over because she couldn't find the vein. I was so scared for her and she's really strong, so I thought I would have to hold her arm down forcefully, but Sydnee didn't move it at all. The nurse was amazed with how awesome she did since it took about a minute to puncture a vein. They always have a hard time with my veins, so I know how much it hurts when push that needle back and forth trying to find the vein.

9 month appointment

Sydnee just had her 9 month appointment today and is over 90% for both height and weight. She weighs 23lbs and her head size is 47cm around and she is 30in long. Yes 30inches! the nurse said 3 more inches and she'll be 3 feet. She's int0 18 month clothing now.

She's doing great!! She waves bye bye, doesn't crawl much, prefers to scoot. Her 7th and 8th tooth just cut through on the top so she's been cranky lately and doesn't want to sleep. 4 teeth on bottom and 4 on the top. I have started brushing them and she just loves her tooth brush. It's been SOOO hard to get her to sleep lately, she just doesn't want to sleep and I'm lucky If I can get her to sleep between 10pm-12am. Last night she woke up at 1am and didn't go back to sleep until after 3am. Tomorrow she has to get a blood test, her doctor wants to make sure she's getting enough iron. She eats pretty much everything and she just loves yogurt. She has big temper tantrums now when she cant get what she wants or when I take something from her that she's not suppose to have. She screams, throws her head back. It's so embarrassing when she does this at the store.

The other day, my shih-tzu/maltese who's name is Bella was laying right by Sydnee on the floor and Sydnee just grabed her by the hair and starting shaking her back and forth like a rattle... omg the poor dog!! I was laughing so hard though. That was the first time Sydnee's done that. She absolutely loves dogs, but is rough with them. I'm sure Bella will be staying away from Sydnee for now on.

She loves the Jenifer Hudson diet commercial, omg... she just goes crazy every time she hears it come on. She loves music and to dance. If someone dances in front of her she'll do it too. I love when she waves bye bye to me and cant wait until she starts saying mama. She's been saying dada all the time for months now. She waves to strangers in the store sometimes too. She's such a big flirt with the big smiles and laughs she gives them. She LOVES attention and she definitely gets it!

Sorry I haven't blogged in so long! Sydnee will be 8 Months on the 14th. I cant believe she's almost a year old. I dont know if I should be excited or sad.

Sydnee has not started crawling and I'm not sure if she ever will. She has no interest in crawling at all. She does love to stand up though, more than she does sitting. She loves everything paper and plastic. Like when we're going shopping and she's sitting in the cart, she'll turn around and try to grab what is just put in the cart. Like diapers and when I try and take it away from her she has a big tantrum(yes she has started the big ones now). Other than that she has got to be the happiest baby I have ever seen. From the moment she wakes up in the morning she is all smiles and giggles. She is so cute in the cart, she'll just start bouncing and talking her baby talk. She now says du du du. It's so cute! She's been very cranky for the past week though. Wanting to be held a lot. She had gotten 2 more bottom teeth about 4 weeks ago and then 2 weeks ago her 2 top ones came down finally. Her top gums were SO swollen it was kind of gross to look at. Her 2 top ones are big too and she has a gap in between them. Well Sydnee has been sitting up for nearly 3 weeks now. She started the day after I last posted, lol!
She's not very good with it yet. She'll still fall back after awhile, so I never leave her side when she is sitting up. I can't believe she's almost 7 months old. I'll hopefully post her 6 month pictures I'll be taking of her in a few days. I just have to finish her headbands. She was so fussy yesterday and when she whines, she'll do it with her mouth closed and she keeps sucking in her lips. I think it's because she just started teething again. She is chewing on everything and drooling a lot! I saw yesterday two white specks of her two top teeth. Yep they are starting to cut through. So probably in a few weeks, she'll have 4 teeth. I can't wait!! :)

6 Month check up

Miss Sydnee is 26 weeks and 2 days old today.... 6 months. I love this girl so much! Everywhere we go she gives people big smiles and she just has the most funniest personality. She has already started mimicking a lot of things. She just laughs when I sign to her milk, but is starting to move her hands and fingers more trying to sign it. I just need to start signing it when I give her.. her bottle.

I'm still trying to decide on what she's going to be for Halloween. I was thinking maybe a cabbage patch doll if I can find an outfit that looks like a doll outfit that is. But I did find this cute mini mouse outfit. We'll see.
As for sitting up, She was doing so good a month ago with it, but now she doesn't like it or want too. Every time I sit her up, she gets mad and screams and will throw herself backwards. Now she can sit up, she's just being lazy about it. Yesterday at the doctors, I sat her up in front of some files and it distracted her since she loves to grab at everything now and she was sitting up just fine, but once she knew what she was doing, she threw herself backwards again, lol
I hold her back of course to make sure she doesn't hit her head. She was so tried once we got there and was crying most of the time since she kept trying to fight off going to sleep, that I was just really annoyed since the doctor was taking FOREVER! but once the doctor came in, Sydnee was all smiles. She weighed 18lbs 14.8oz and is 27 1/2 inches long. The nurse asked me if her father was big, I told him, well he's tall and he's like, I can tell, because Sydnee is going to be tall and she definitely doesn't get it from you, lol(I'm actually almost 5'2, so definitely short).
Sydnee did great with her shots like always, only cried for about 20-30 seconds afterwards. It was funny after the nurse was done and he past right by us, Sydnee hid her face in my chest, I guess scared he would give her another shot. No fever this morning this time, so everything went well.

Also I HATE working, I wish I could just win the lottery and be a stay at home mom, but LOVE the huge smiles I get from Sydnee when she see's me after I get back home. For month 5, Sydnee has learned how to turn over and does it all the time. It's so funny, because if I put her on the bed with me on the other pillow to watch TV, she'll scoot closer and turn to her side to stare and smile at me. It cracks me up. My mom and dad watch her while I'm at work and Sydnee does the same to her. My dad has taught her a couple of annoying habits though. One of them being the motor boat sound, because of course she spits everywhere and she'll do it constantly. Her neck and her shirt or bib will be just soaking wet. She loves playing with her feet, but hates being on her stomach. She turns to her stomach in a sitting position every time she gets really upset now and then cant turn back over and gets even more mad. Hopefully she'll be sitting up on her own by Thanksgiving, lol!

Sydnee sat up all by herself for a minute last night. I know that's not that long, but it's the longest she's been able to do it so far. She was a little wobbly, but she managed. I'm so proud of her!! :)

18 Weeks old

Sydnee just turned 18 weeks yesterday. For the past week or 2 she has been trying to sit up by herself. I'll sit her on the couch or on my bed with pillows propped up behind her to keep her in a sitting position and she'll try and lift her back away from the pillows trying to sit up on her own and of course after awhile will fall forward. So it's no longer a good idea for me to sit her up on the couch. This is exciting! I think she'll be sitting up on her own in about a month. She grabs onto everything and puts it in her mouth. Her hands have been constantly in her mouth for the past month and in the early mornings I can hear her sucking on her pajamas(I have the ones that are long sleeved and covers her hands) or sucking on the mittens I put on her some nights if I put a onesie on her when it's too hot(I keep her hands covered because her nails grow sooo fast and looks like she gets manicures, lol and she scratches her fast a lot even after her nails are trimmed). My mom thinks it's cruel, but I think it's necessary. I only keep her hands covered when she goes down for the night. She has recently found her thumb and sucks on it every once in awhile during the day. I keep trying to take it out because I don't want that to become a habit, my 19 and 23 year old sister and brother still suck their thumb and I hate it!

Sydnee has such a funny personality even though she gets very cranky in the afternoons. Mostly because she's tired and tries her best not to go to sleep. She greets you with big smiles in the morning after waking up and smiles at just everybody who talks to her. She screams when she gets very happy and has been trying to talk for awhile now... baby talk of course, lol!

I think she's now going through a growth spurt or something, because she is always hungry right now, yesterday morning she ate a whole jar of baby food with rice cereal and still wanted more. She then drank 5oz of formula and was a happy camper afterwards. I couldn't believe it and for the past week she has been waking up a couple of hours early to eat. She usually sleeps to about 2-4am, but has been waking up between 12-1am and goes to sleep after 9-10pm.

She had her 4 month check up today and weighed 15lbs 8oz and is 25in long. The doctor said she was above average in height and weight(80% for height and 95% for weight), and didn't have a problem with her eating baby food already like I thought she would. Sydnee then got her shots and cried for about 10 seconds and then stopped and started crying again about half a minute later because she was just mad about it. She did great though. She got 2 on her right leg and 1 on her left leg.

I started Sydnee on baby food yesterday. She seemed to really like it. I gave her some bananas and peas and she didn't make any faces that a lot of babies make when you give them new things. I think she's going to like a lot of foods. I've only started her on a little and will give her some later today. Her milk just doesn't seem to do it for her anymore. She's hungry almost every hour.

She's getting good with naps now. Sometimes will take a 2 hour nap. Which is very good for her, but she is not a deep sleeper. Any kind of noise will wake her up. I think it's because she gets scared easily. She jumps at almost everything.

I realized I conceived Sydnee 1 year ago today. I cant believe it's been a year. 10 days from now will be 1 year since I found out I was pregnant. When I got up to use the bathroom and took a pregnancy test and stared at it for 20mins wondering if I was seeing a second line or if it was an indent line and freaking out. Then hurried up and got dressed and went and got First Response and got a really really light line on it within 5mins. That was an amazing feeling and one of the best days of my life. I still have that pregnancy test. I must of taken 100 pregnancy test within the first 6 weeks and now she'll be 4 months next week. :)

14 Weeks old

Is Sydnee big for a 3 month old? She is over 13lbs now. Everywhere we go she is the center of attention. My mom had been in the hospital this past week and the nurses just circled around me to see Sydnee everyday(its almost like that everywhere we go), they tell me how beautiful she is(especially after they get her to smile at them, then they want to just play with her) and then they ask me how old she is, I tell them 3 months and they always tell me she's so big for 3 months(I had about 3-4 nurses tell me that this past week and some costumers at the store). I never thought she was big for 3 months. The other day I met my older sister's friend and she has a baby girl who is 2 weeks older than Sydnee(well 15 days). She also named her daughter Sydney and they both weighted the same at birth. Well my Sydnee is 2 times bigger than the other Sydney. I couldn't believe it. The other Sydney looked about 6-8 weeks old. To me anyways(she even wants me to take pics of her daughter, which I cant wait to do).
Lately Sydnee has been eating a lot more, I was thinking about maybe trying some baby food, even though the doctor has said not until 5 months. She seems to never get full for long. The other day she had 9oz in about an hour and seems to want to eat about every hour. I have tried rice, but that doesn't do anything for her. My sister had been wondering if she's double jointed with the way she always has her arms. So now I've been wondering myself.
I think she'll be cutting a tooth soon. At least that's what it looks like. She drools a lot, but then again she has always drooled a lot. She sucks on her hands all the time now though.

13 Weeks

This past week Sydnee has been sleeping so well. Although I'm not now, lol! This morning she slept for almost 8 hours for the first time. :)

during the day she takes cat naps, usually about 15mins(30 mins at the most) and then is awake again. She's afraid she'll miss something I guess. She is very nosey, lol! wants to see everything. Yesterday, I let my sister's mother in law watch Sydnee when I had to leave and she just loved her, and said she is very watchful and alert and wanting to see everything and very demanding, lol! Which is very true, not demanding in a baby needs to kind of way. But demanding in a I want this or I'll throw a huge fit. It cracks me up!!! One time I was at the store with her, holding her towards me, all of a sudden she screams(like how a little girl screams when she's running from someone or gets scared)a high pitched scream. She got mad because she wanted to be faced the other way so she can see more. That was quite embarrassing , but funny to. She likes to be held when your standing up not when your sitting down or she'll have a fit. Hates it when you have to take her bottle out of her mouth to burp her. My sister's mother in law found that out very fast. So she didn't burp her until after she was finished with her bottle, but the thing is that had her spitting up everywhere for a while. She said she couldn't stop bouncing her on her knee, because every time she did, Sydnee would start crying. She just adored her, but who wouldn't.

She smiles a big smile all the time now. I love it!! She loves it when you put her feet to her face, she laughs, it's so funny! Her nails grow so fast in just a week she looks like she has fake nails on. I keep those little mittens on her hands at night to keep her from scratching her face. She has scratched herself right below her right eye and it was all bloody. Scared the heck out of me and then last week she scratched herself on her cheek which now looks like a beauty mark. She's a really good baby, just gets really cranky when she's sleepy and tries to fight sleep. She likes to try and stand now and loves to be talked too, she'll even try to talk her baby talk to you(the cutest this ever!!!). I have caught her a couple of times turn her face towards the wall in her crib and just talk to it, lol!

Today Sydnee is 3 months old! :)

Last week I got her ears pierced and she did very well and they look so cute!! As of last week she's been sleeping from about 10pm to around 4am, which has been good. Nothing much else going on.

My little chunk chunk weighs 12lbs 14.2oz and is just 22 and half inches long(she is short). She did really good with her shots! She got 3 and only cried for a minute or less and then went right to sleep until we got home, now she's looking around the room and watching some TV. The doctor told me not to give her anything so I didn't. I'll be keeping a close eye on her to make sure she has no side effects. I'm so proud of her!!

PP checkup

I finally had my 6 week cervical check last week. They canceled my appointment twice and that's why I didn't have it until 8 weeks. It wasn't that bad. She just tried for feel for my cervix, but since I have scare tissue at the opening, she was only able to check with one finger. I don't know what I will do if I ever have to have another cervical check. I don't know how their going to put a speculum up there without tearing me. Anyways Sydnee will be 9 weeks tomorrow. For the past 3 days, she has been smiling so much lately. This morning she woke up at 5am and I stayed up and played with her until just after 6am. Her coo's are so cute and boy does she have a temper. She hates when someone is sitting down and holding her. She wants to be up higher and prefers someone to stand up with her. She refuses to be in her crib until after her 8:30pm bath time when she knows it's bed time afterwards. She'll just stay awake looking around for an hour before drifting of to sleep(usually after 10pm). It's so funny now when she wakes up at 2am and around 5am to eat, she'll wake up fussing, but when she see's me with her bottle, she just gives me the biggest smile. I love it!

Week 7

I can't believe my baby is almost 2 months. :)

I think Sydnee has an eye infection in her left eye. She has a doctor appointment on Monday so we'll see. This week she's starting to smile more and hold her head up a little bit better. She's now fitting into 0-3 months.

As for me, I had lost 36 pounds, but this week, I put on 2 from eating out, One thing I didn't know would happen is that it seems to be easier for me to loose weight after pregnancy then it was before. I weigh less then I did before pregnancy. Also my butt shrank. I always heard of women's butt getting bigger from pregnancy, not the other way around. I'm planning on starting weight watchers Monday. I hope I stick with it. I also made Sydnee her first tutu, I was practicing. I think it turned out pretty cute.

6 weeks old

I took Sydnee to the Pedi on Friday. The past week she has had a rash all over her body really bad, it hasn't seemed to bother her at all. At first I thought it could be a heat rash, because she was sweating a lot in her carseat. It doesn't matter what I do, her back is always damp after I take her out of it and she drools a lot afterwords too. She drools anyways, but not as much as she does after she's in her carseat. Her Pedi said it was probably an allergic reaction. Right now it is almost gone. Also She HATES to be in her infant carseat, she is just too uncomfortable in it. I hate it too. She just screams hysterical until she turns all purple and wont stop until I take her out of it. Has anyone else had this problem? I have a convertible carseat as well and was thinking of using that instead to see if she prefers it.
Anyways she weighed 10lbs 15oz at that appointment. She's not really getting taller though. So she's now pretty chunky. She has a lot of rolls now. It's so cute! During the day she eats about 4-6oz every 2 hours and about 3-4oz during the night. Since week 5, she isn't really taking naps anymore. She stays awake for long hours and when she does fall a sleep, I'm lucky if she sleeps for an hour and a half. Half the time she's cranky. I'm so glad that she pretty much goes right back to sleep after eating during the night.
She loves to be in her infant carrier. She gets to see so much in it when I face her the opposite of me. She loves to look around and likes bright lights.

Sydnee will be 4 weeks on Wednesday. I can't believe it. She has changed so much. She is starting to coo and just loves to stare. Loves when her aunts sing to her and love the music from her mobile. Those are one of the things that quiets her down. She loves to be held and hates to be put down now. It's so funny. She'll fall asleep in my arms soon after eating and I'll wait for about 5 mins before laying her down in her crib. The second her head touches her bed, she'll wake up and will just cry hysterically to the point she turns all red, but the second I pick her up, she'll stop and look at me and will close her eyes so quick it cracks me up. Sometimes I'll let her cry it out though. Yesterday she was weighed and has gained 2 pounds in just a little over 2 weeks. She weighed 7lbs 13oz and 20in on the 23rd of April and yesterday weighed 9lbs 12oz and 20in. I was so surpried. I think she'll be short like me. She has my everything except for feet. She has long toes. She's been holding her head pretty well and follows your voice when you talk to her. Her hair is lightening up. It was jet black when she was born and now it's dark brown. Doesn't really show up in pics though. Her hair sticks up everywhere, especially at the top of her head. I weigh it down in the front with baby conditioner. When I go out with her, some people ask me if she's a boy even though she has girl clothes on. So I think I'll just start putting headbands on her when we go out.

Sorry I've been MIA. On the 23rd, I had taken Sydnee for her first appointment at 9 days old.
She weighed 7lbs 13oz and was 20in long then. She sleeps about 2 hours at a time through the night and she stays awake for about an hour. Half of the time she's crying, lol! she likes to be held while she's awake. I am so tired during the day from pretty much no sleep at night. Poor thing spits up a lot. Those dang hiccups mostly cause her to. I try to keep her upright for awhile after eating, but that usually doesn't help. I hope she starts sleeping a little longer soon though. As for me, I'm feeling a little better finally. I'm not in as much pain like before. Nights are when I start hurting, but I dont feel the need to take pain meds anymore and I can do a lot more. I cant wait until my stitches fully heal. It's at the itchy stage now, which I really hate. All the swelling I had in my feet and legs are now gone too. and I am one pound less than I was before I got pregnant. So happy about that, especially since I haven't done anything different.

Sydnee was so good while we were at the doctor's. She slept almost the whole time there, she did wake up a couple of times, but didn't cry. I was so surprised. She usually wants to eat when she wakes up. I don't know if she's starting to sleep more or if she's just extra tired after staying up so long last night. I always told myself I wasn't going to co-sleep, in fear I'd sleep on her or that she would quit breathing without me knowing, but with the pain I'm in and having to get up with her every 5 mins last night since she was cranky. I decided to just have her sleep with me. I kept my arm under her head the whole early morning and of course it was hurting after hours, but I didn't want to wake her up. She would not go to sleep until almost 5am(stayed up for 2 hours). Earlier we had a couple of scares. She eats so fast that she spits it up and while this was happening milk was coming out of her nose as well. I hate when that happens! so now she gets breaks after drinking so much milk, which she gets so mad, lol!

The other scare was that her movement monitor alarm went off when she was in her crib. It totally freaked me out. I checked on her and she was fine. But I don't know if it was a false alarm or not.

My feet and legs are SO swollen. They are twice their normal size. Anyway's, I saw my doctor today, because I thought I had a bladder infection on top of everything else. It burns so bad to urinate, that I'm just scared to. He didn't deliver Sydnee because he took a vacation. I had to give a urine sample of course, and the nurse said I definitely had a bladder infection after she tested it, but then my doctor said the only way to know is if they put a catheter in me(That will never happen), because the blood would contaminate it. he did check me, which I dreaded. He wanted to see if my stitches were infected. He said they looked irritated, but gave me a shot incase I do have an infection. He also thought I should have had a c-section and that it's my stitches that are causing my vagina to burn so much when I urinate, since I'm on a high dose of antibiotics anyway's, he didn't think it was a UTI, I just took my last antibiotic today, which I'm happy about since I hate taking antibiotics since it gives me yeast infections and I don't know what I'd do if I got one.

I just love my little girl! I hate that I cant really take care of her yet. My mom has done most of the work since I have been in so much pain and she seems to be loving it. She starts missing her after she has been sleeping for an hour or two. (My dad as well) and she'll want to wake her up.
I just cant stop looking at her. Sydnee has teeth buds that show already. She hates being changed, having a dirty diaper, getting a sponge bath for now, and I know she'll hate getting baths since she definitely did at the hospital. She likes attention, to be held and talked too. She just loves the close contact. She sleeps about 2-3 hours at a time and eats between 2-3 oz per feeding, except this morning she ate 4 oz. She stays awake afterwards for about an hour just looking around. I haven't yet breast fed her. I tried a couple of times in the hospital. My milk came in a couple of days ago. She is so demanding when she wakes up to eat that I dont know how breast feeding will work. I'm going to try pumping though. If I dont have the bottle ready when she wakes up, she just screams bloody murder, it's the same when she gets changed lol.

Also I was talking to my mom last night about Sydnee's delivery and she told me why I tore so badly. The reason I tore so much was because the nurse that had me start pushing left the urinary catheter in. Well when I started pushing, I had lots of big blood clots coming out over and over. The nurse kept changing her gloves too about 20 times because they were full of blood. Come to find out after an hour of pushing when the doctor arrived that the catheter wasn't suppose to be still in and was tearing me up inside and the baby's head got stuck because of where it was positioned, so after awhile her heart rate was going down. Which is why when the doctor arrived she removed the catheter out of the way and sprang to action and tried to get me to push a lot without any brakes. When the baby finally did come out she was blue/gray and wasn't breathing at all. It took them about 5mins to get a good cry from her. I was in and out of it from the blood loss and all the pushing I had to do. So I didn't know why I had so much tearing in the inside and outside until my mom told me. My sisters then told me that the pediatric nurses really didn't know what they were doing either. The monitor that was put on the baby's head before I started pushing to hear the baby's heartbeat better was still on her head and one of them was trying to yank it off my baby's head nearly taking her head off. Until my sisters intervened. The doctor then had her stop and told her how to take it off. So they're going to get a complaint from us. After Sydnee was born my mom was totally freaked out about how I looked down there, the doctor told her to not worry that she can fix it and put it all back together. One of the pics that my sister took after the birth is soooo grusome that I got to see what my mom saw. My bladder and labia was all torn and too one side. It was not connected to the left side anymore and you can see stuff just that was suppose to be in the inside just hanging out. Now I know why the nurse was so nice too me. She knows she messed up big time. I hurt down there so bad that urinating makes my whole vagina sting and burn very badly. I have no control over my bladder either. I have had a few accidents while walking, because I cant feel when I have a full bladder. I'm really hoping that doesn't last long. I wont be able to go out anywhere and I'm just scared to use the bath anyways with how painful it is. Having a bowl movement is even worse. It hurts to sit down and lay down, so I try and walk around a lot but my feet are now very swollen. I'm messed up everywhere, lol!!
I'm so happy to have Sydnee!!! I just wish her birth had went better for her and me, and had gotten a better nurse. She came real close to dying from the nurse's mistake.

My Birth Story

Where do I begin

Well on Monday I was getting pretty anxious to meet this little girl. I went to Taco Bell and had the Volcano taco. Then hours later I took some castor oil(about a little over a teaspoon with soda) at around 7pm. Well after 1am the next morning, I woke up to some mild cramping and some back labor that wouldn't go away. They were 3-5 mins apart. Well after 3 more hours I walked around my room and the contractions didn't hurt as much, until I sat back down. Well I called my mom and she took me to the hospital. We were just hoping it wasn't false labor. After we got there, they started monitoring the contractions. I was in early labor but wasn't sure if they were going to keep me or send me home since I wasn't dilating fast enough. The nurse checked my cervix and I was only 1cm dilated. They then sent me in for a more invasive u/s. My fluid level was 34 and normal is between 5-15(so it was WAY too high). So they kept me and gave me Cervidil to help soften my cervix. They then started my IV which hurt a lot since they kept sticking me in different places and blew out a vain. About 2 hours after they put the Cervidil in the nurse checked me again and I had only gone to a 2. They then started me on some Pitocin slowly hours later(they gave me only a little bit at a time because Sydnee's heart rate kept going down). By 6:45pm that night. the doctor came in and checked me and I was dilated to a 3 and was 90% efface, she then broke my water. I was 3cm by then and a whole bunch a water came out and soaked the bed and me(really warm water, it felt so weird). 5 mins later she had me sit up and tons of more water started coming out all over the bed again and was like a water fall as it fell off the bed and onto the floor. There was a huge puddle all over the floor. The nurses were very surprised because the gushes wouldn't quite coming. I then went to the bathroom and after 10 mins they gave me the epidural. That wasn't bad at all. Everyone was surprised by how I handled the contractions before the epi. My sisters wanted to see if I'd scream, but that's not me, I dont show emotions like that. I think the epi slowed down my labor though. Hours before there was a lady that came in and was screaming so loud. She sounded like the women from that movie the Exorcist, My sister was so disappointed she missed it. She really wanted to here a women scream right before birth. Any ways After a while I was able to feel my contractions again, so they gave me more of the epi. After that I threw up tons all over. Luckily I had only been drinking water. Anyway's by 10:30am the next morning I was able to start push. Not long after I started I had blood gushing out from a tear, because the nurse that had put a monitor on top of my baby's head hadn't taken it out and it was causing me to tear a lot inside while I was pushing from the angle it was in. The doctor then came in almost an hour later and angled it a different way. After that she had gotten everything ready real fast. She then had me push over and over again without rest, I was so tired after awhile since I had pushed for 2 hours and kept dozing in and out from the blood loss. I also threw up more during pushing. My older sister was just shaking and my mom left the room because she said she was going to throw up from all the tears I had. She said it was so bloody and just looked like strings of skin hanging out. She told me it looked like I was butchered. The doctor was trying to get me to push as hard as I can with no rest in between because her heart rate was so low after an hour into pushing and the doctor just wanted to get her out. My pelvic bone is small, so it took awhile to get the rest of her head out and at 12:31pm she arrived. They put her on my chest and then took her away because she was turning blue and wasn't breathing. It took them awhile to get her too give them a good cry and It took the doctor over 2 hours to stitch me up. I tore a lot in the inside and had 2nd and 3rd degree tears. The epidural worked great! I didn't feel a thing until it wore off. The pain was unbearable the other night and in the late afternoon I had to change rooms, and when they got me into a wheel chair, I couldn't breath real well and I was getting so dizzy, the next thing I knew there was 5-6 nurses at my side rushing to get me back into bed. I had passed out, which panicked my mother. I then had more blood work done the other night and got my results back today and I was anemic. I had to get more blood work done yesterday and if I'm still anemic I'll have to stay here longer and get a blood transfusion. Baby girl is doing great! She eats like a pig, but the nurses wont let me feed her more then 25 ml per feeding every 3-4 hours and she drinks that in 2 mins and is still very hungry. Me and my mom feel like we're starving her. She farts and poops a lots. Loud farts too. She's a very good baby.`Everyone is so in love with her, especially the nurses. I will be discharged later on today and the hospital has a photographer that comes in and take great pictures of the babies before they leave. So I cant wait for that! I wanted to be in the pictures, but have changed my mind after looking at myself in the mirror. I am swollen in the face and feet and I now have pregnancy face. My face has very dark dark spots all over it except for under my eyes. I sure wouldn't be able to take care of Sydnee on my own right now. I can barely get out of bed. It takes awhile, because the pain is so bad! the doctor told me later on that my labias tore as well(ick, and my little sister took pics of this and got yelled at by the doctor since she was all in the way). the pain meds help a little and makes me very sleepy. I just dose out mid sentence. Me and Sydnee have tried breast feeding a couple times, but there really isn't anything to in there. Right now she is on Enfamil and it seems to be causing her gas, which of course gives her an upset stomach. So I'm hoping my milk comes in real soon and she starts taking the boob better.

and she is Gorgeous!!! I'll post pics in minute and birth story. She weighed 7 pounds 3.8oz and was 19in long. My labor was 35 hours long and she was born yesterday on the 14th at 12:31 noon. I had gotten tons of stitches. I tore very badly and it took the doctor over 2 hours to stitch me up. I am very sore. Here are some pics, 1st is soon after she was born with my mom holding her with that stuff on her eyes, 2nd one is her first bath, the 3rd is Sydnee with my older sister, 4th is her being weighed, 5th is right after she was born, 6th my mom and me were just trying out her head band and the last ones are with me holding her. Here eyes are hazel up closely but seems to be getting ligher. Her hair already has waves in it, it should start curling up pretty soon.

38 Week Appointment

Well I went in today and they did an u/s first. They had a new u/s tech there and guess who it was, it was the 4d u/s guy I went to at 20 weeks, He started today. Well to give a little recap on him. I went to have a 4d at 18 weeks and he didn't know if her vagina was a penis or not and thought her leg was her arm and then told me he couldn't continue the u/s because she then had turned and had me come back at 20 weeks(which is one of the reasons I went to a different 4d u/s tech at 28 weeks.). Anyways, while he was doing the u/s today I could see which position she was in. It looked to me that she was head down. Well after the u/s he wrote that she was breech and that she weighed about 7 pounds and her fluid level was normal now even though he saw a lot of fluid on the u/s. But he didn't measure it, just said stuff like "that looks about 5 here and 5 there". After this my doctor went over it and told me the new u/s tech put that she was breech, so he felt around and said that he felt her head down and didn't know how I could have too much fluid for months and now have normal amounts of it. So he sent me back in for another u/s, this time his brother did it(today was his last day there) and said that she was indeed head down and weighed about 6lbs 13oz. and that my fluid level is still high(I'm so glad he was there to redue my u/s, because if he wasn't the doctor would have been trying to turn her and scheduled me for a c-section.) The new u/s tech is really nice, but he really doesn't know what he's doing at all. He really shouldn't be an u/s tech. I was like, omg... I cant believe they hired him. I'm so glad I'm 2 weeks away from my due date. I don't want him doing anymore of my u/s. My doctor checked me and said he thinks my cervix is closed. Which made no sense, since the nurse at L&D said I was 1cm and 50% efface last week. Ugh!
I had some false labor around 4am, with AF cramps and back labor, but once again they didn't last and then most of today I have been having bh contractions mostly every 3-5mins, but they are not strong. They did an NST in the doctors office and baby is doing great and they saw contractions on the monitor. He was going to send me to L&D, but I'm not cramping with the contractions.

I would have loved to have had her, since my birthday is tomorrow. That would have been a great birthday present for me. I go back on Tuesday and then to L&D for another NST. My Dr. will be gone next week though.

Mucus Plug

I started loosing my mucus plug yesterday. I wasn't sure at first until last night when(TMI) a little bit of jelly like stuff came out a little and this morning after I used the bathroom. YAY this is so exciting!
Yesterday when I was on the monitor, the nurse mentioned me cramping, I was confused because I wasn't cramping with my contractions at all. Found out that the monitor that measures contractions wasn't going down all the way after a contraction and I guess usually you'd feel some cramps. I didn't feel anything except for a lot of tightening every 3-7 minutes.

She did great during the stress test this morning so no induction today, but at least I'm dilated to 1cm so far. So hopefully it wont be too long.

The stress test took 3 hours. She wasn’t very responsive the way they wanted her to be so they kept monitoring her. They had me drink water, orange juice, and then apple juice. She was moving but not a lot. The nurse said they were going to give me some pitocin to see how she would handle contractions, but the monitor was showing I was already having contractions and she seemed to like them. The last 15 mins she started moving the way the nurse wanted her to, so she was happy about that. She told me that if she had done that earlier I would have been able to leave after 30mins. She then told me to do my kick counts today and to come back tomorrow around 10am to monitor the baby again. If she isn’t as active again tomorrow, they might induce me. I have to eat a big breakfast before I go. So I could be having this baby real soon, depending on how tomorrow’s NST goes. She did check me and I am 1cm dilated and 50 percent efface. :)

37 week checkup

Another good appointment today. I'm still measuring 40 weeks. I think I've dropped, my belly button is lower. Anyway I asked about induction, when he would consider it. He said after 40 weeks, depending on the size of the baby. I'll be having another u/s next week to measure how big she is and the fluid level to see if it has increased. He did send me to have the NST stress test tomorrow morning to see how the baby is doing since I do still have high levels of amniotic fluid. Even though I've been eating a lot lately, I've lost 2 pounds in 7 days. So doctor was happy about that. That makes 22 pounds gained so far. I am so ready for her to get here.

36 week checkup and some nursery pics

My appointment went good! I tested negative with the blood diabete's test and the Strep B swab test. My blood pressure's good as well and the baby's heartbeat. There not going to be doing anymore cervical checks until 38 weeks and that's when they'll do another u/s to check her growth and fluid level. So I dont know If I have dialated any. She's very active still and my feet have started to swell big time. Here are some pics of her crib and swing. The swing lights up and does a lot of other stuff. I'll post more pics later. I seem to be having some problems with posting pic on here.

Baby Shower...

Today was my baby shower and it was a lot of fun! I had a great time! Got to see a lot of people I haven't seen in awhile. Like my cousins, my friend from elementary school, etc...

I got great gifts and we had it at my favorite Mexican restaurant. I loved my cake!! Luckily I took pics of it after we set up, because the waitress spilled hot salsa all over my cake. I was not happy about that at all. All in all, my mom did a great job planning it and my little sister did a good job with the games.

Here are a couple of pics, I haven't uploaded them all. Just the cake ones for now. I forgot to take some pics of a couple of guest and my mom and forgot to have someone take a pic of me at the shower, doesn't matter since I hate taking pics. Even though lots of the guests took pics of me. My pregnant belly was a hit!! A couple of days ago, I was returning a shirt to motherhood and some women in a car stopped and said your ready to have that baby, and was shocked when I told them, not for another month, lol!

and Fluid level is still high. I am now measuring 40 weeks. My doctor doesn't see any reason to deliver early, but he is hoping I go into labor at 37 weeks, because baby is now measuring 6 pounds and he doesn't want her to get too big. He checked my cervix and it is closed up and did the Strep B swab. I had more bloodwork today as well, because he wanted to see if I now have diabetes(I passed the 3 hour already) since he cant find a reason for the increase fluid level and said you can get diabetes at anytime during pregnancy and that can cause this.

Started having contractions

Well I spent a few hours in L&D with my mom tonight. I was having BH contractions that kept getting closer and closer. I had 10 in less than an hour that were 5 then 1 minute apart. Was told to go to L&D and after I got there they hooked me up to the monitor. Baby was very active the whole time there. The nurse had to keep switching sides with the monitor(lol). Anyways the monitor picked up some big contractions but I wasn't feeling them at all. They had to give me 2 shots to stop them. They checked my cervix and took a swab. Let me just say, it was SO painful! Since I'm so swollen down there and she couldn't even use any lube. It was very painful!! The swab test was to see if I was going to be going into active labor soon. That came out negative and I am not dilated at all. She said maybe a finger tip, but my cervix was thick and pretty closed up. I didn't even know I was having preterm labor since I couldn't feel the contractions and the BH stopped. They said I could have went into active labor If I hadn't came in(Good thing my mom made me). Since I'm 34 weeks, they stopped them, but If I were 37 weeks or over they wouldn't.
At first I thought I was having a lot of BH contractions because I hadn't drank much water today, so I did before I got to the hospital and then they had me drink a big cup a ice water, and then some apple juice and orange juice. The orange juice gave me heartburn. So that wasn't the reason. Still a little shaky from the injections. My last blood pressure there was 90/45, now that is low. I always have low blood pressure, but I think the shot made it even lower. I'm back home now, and I am so glad!! Hopefully the next time I go, I'll be over 37 weeks.

week 34 appointment

It was a routine appointment. The nurse practitioner listened to the baby's heartbeat and measured my stomach. It is measuring 36 weeks now. She was going to do a Strep B test today, but she pushed it back until next week. I have to have another u/s next week because the u/s 2 weeks ago showed that I have a high level of amniotic fluid(I don't know why the u/s guy couldn't have told me 2 weeks ago), it is boarder lined high. So not really a big deal right now. So they want to check on it next week and maybe do the NST test. If it's still high they might deliver her a little early as it can restrict her growth, but if it's gone up a lot, they'll deliver her probably next week at 35 weeks(I'm hoping that doesn't happen, that's a little too early for her). My baby shower isn't until the 20th and I need to get my car cleaned. I guess I better get on it. :)

I need to get my things ready and put into the hospital bag, so far I only have the baby's things ready. I have 4 outfits of the baby's that I'm bringing. 2 preemie outfits and 2 newborn. Most likely she wont fit into the preemie's, but it's just incase. I have 2 pairs of baby booties, 2 baby beanie hats, 2 headbands, and a very cute jacket. Some pacifiers and baby nail clippers and comb and brush. I know that's a lot, but one will be her taking home outfit and the other outfit is for her hospital pics. Right now I am trying to figure out how to put the carseat base in the car. Other than all that, I'm pretty much just waiting on her arrival. It seems far away. I guess I can look forward to my babyshower on the 20th.

32 week appointment

I had my 32 week appointment today and everything is great with the baby. She is SO active. Especially at night when I'm trying to sleep so doing a kick count in the morning is easy and fast. She has the hiccups when they were trying to listen to her heartbeat. It was really cute listening to it. Also got to see her hiccuping on my left side. They then did an u/s for an estimated guess on her weight. They estimated her weight to be 3 pounds 13oz and said she'd probably be 7 pounds by 40 weeks. Almost 4 weeks ago the 4d u/s lady said she was already 3 pounds 3oz, so who knows. We'll just have to wait until she gets here. She is still head down which is good. So not that much longer now. :)

I hate my doctor right now! He has just been slacking on testing my thyroid. So I reminded him last week since a month before he wasn't there for my appointment and the other doctor I saw wouldn't test my thyroid since she wasn't my primary doctor and I had to wait until I saw him. Well since they haven't called me about my results and I don't see him again until next week. I called today and my thyroid results were 14.5. Which is REALLY high, especially when you are pregnant since it should be in the 2's. I'm worried about how this has affected my baby now since it was last checked months ago. Who knows when it started going out of whack and he told me to just keep taking the dose I'm already taking, because he thinks its fine and then said he doesn't really know anything about it(then how would he know my levels were fine?). So he won't change my dose and said to go back to the doctor who prescribed them for me. Well that was my fertility doctor when I was seeing one. Now I have to find another doctor who knows about thyroid. I am SO mad!! He's a moron!!!!

In other news, my stomach was measuring 4 weeks ahead last week and now people are asking me when I'm due and are shocked when I tell them in April. They either make a comment that there is probably another baby hiding in there or that I'm going to be having a big baby, lol!
I do look huge now though.

One thing they don't tell you that happens in the 3rd trimester of pregnancy is that, your inner thighs get sore and your vagina gets sore and very swollen. I have been dealing with this for over a month now, which makes getting comfortable in bed harder. I asked the doctor about this and he said it was normal. She's head down and is laying on a vessel down there which is causing me to swell at lot. I seem to be having lots of braxton hicks lately. Especially yesterday. They usually don't hurt at all. Just feels like my belly tightens and gets hard and has a heavy feeling. It gets confusing for me though, because I never really know if it's her or a bh contraction.

Another 4D u/s....

I had one more 3d/4d u/s today. I went to a different one then the one I had at 20 weeks. I just had to have another one since she now has fat on her and the other one she didn't. Well she is more chubby than I thought she was going to be for 28 weeks. The u/s tech kept raving how adorable she was(I definitely have to agree with her) she took more pics of her then she has at any other u/s(I even checked from all her other costumers and there was a whole bunch and she did take more pics of my baby girl). 40 pics, which was more then she was suppose to. She said she just had to and that if her other u/s were like mine, it would make her job easier, because this little one was so photogenic. She had the hiccups again at this u/s. She has them everyday now. She is head down which is great and the u/s tech said her cord isn't wrapped around her at all and that usually the cords are a little bit. Which was a relieve. We saw her swallowing and practicing breathing(her chest kept going up and down). Her eyes were open the whole time and she said her legs are long and above average length(measuring a week ahead). So she'll probably be long. She weighs about 3 pounds 3oz now, which is also above average, lol!!! You can tell from the pics, as she already has big cheeks. She is more beautiful then I imagined!!! Now I really cant wait until April. My mom said she looks just like I did. I got a keepsake photo album, a CD-ROM with all her photo's on them and a DVD of the u/s.

7 month Checkup

I had my checkup appointment yesterday. Had to get the Rho-gam shot which burned and then had to get blood work to check for Rh antibodies since I have negative blood type.
I was measuring 33cm(I think they measure the stomach in cm), at my last appointment 2 weeks ago I was measuring 28cm. So that's a big difference but then again I had just ate before this appointment and usually my appointments are in the morning before I eat(not sure if that would make a difference though). I go back in 2 more weeks(week 30) and then again at 32 weeks for an u/s to see how much the baby weighs. I guess my appointments are now every 2 weeks.

3 Hour Glucose test

I passed my 3 hour Glucose test. It was not fun at all though. Luckily I don't think the juice is that bad. I had to drink twice as much as I did before and felt SO full afterwards. I had a hard time breathing the whole time there(it was awful!). That happens a lot when I'm full. Right now I get full pretty fast. I'm suppose to drink 8-10 glasses of water a day and eat 6 small meals. I've been trying to time when to eat and drink so that I can do this. I had such a hard time eating 6 small meals yesterday. I can hardly eat 3 meals a day. I get full off of a half peanut butter sandwich. Anyways my appointment today was at 8:45am, they took my blood at that time and then I got the finger pricks every hour for 3 hours(I hate the finger pricks). To pass you have to get
Fasting less than 95, I got a 91
1 Hour less than 180, I got a 166
2 Hour less than 155, I got a 124
3 hour less than 140, I got a 121
I was so happy to be able to eat afterwards, because I had to fast for 12 hours. So I had to stop eating at around 8pm the night before.

Found out some family history

Well my oldest bio sister came over to visit with me today. I had just told her I was expecting(I know I waited a long time to tell her) and she told our other sister and everyone is very excited! I think I've mentioned I was adopted a while ago. Well anyways I met half my sisters almost 2 years ago and found out I have 7 sisters by my bio mother. I'm the 3rd oldest. So today me, my mom(not the woman who gave birth to me) and my sister sat down(have I mentioned we are almost exactly a like as well) and talked about my bio family's history. She told me that our family has big babies, lol!
Her first was 9 pounds and he was 2 weeks overdue, her second was 8 pounds 14 oz and was about a week overdue, and her third was the smallest at 7 and a half pounds and she was a couple of days overdue, same with our other sister. She never tore or had to be cut, but our other sister had to get everything reconstructed after she had her first since he was too big for her and she is petite and tore really badly. She also said our family seems to have fast births and none of them including our bio mother who had 8 girls have gotten an epidural. So we'll see if I do. Now I'm a little worried about when I should head to the hospital when I'm in labor. I was going to wait a while before going, but I guess I dont want to wait too long and accidently have the baby a home. Although I would love to have a home birth. I am more worried about having to get cut down there. I rather tear. The good think I found out is we don't have diabetes in the family and everyone wants to throw me a baby shower, so I think I might let them. So either way I'll mostly likely will have a big baby since it runs in my family and donor has big babies. lol!

My doctor appointment today

I had my doctors appointment today and my doctor said everything looks great! I took the drink for the glucose test and it wasn't bad at all. When the doctor was trying to hear the baby's heartbeat with the doppler she was kicking all over the place which cracked the doctor up and me. That drink really had her moving. My belly measured 27 weeks which is great! and after the one hour had passed they took my blood and tested it and told me I barely passed it. I think my number was 136 and 140 is failing. So since I barely passed it I have to get the 3 hour one next week. I am so mad right now. They basicly said I cant eat anything good. No sweets, no rice, nothing with flour in it. This is going to be a long week. Ugh!!

So I have to go next week for the 3 hour glucose test and then the week after that I go back for my Rhogam shot since they're now waiting until I'm 28 weeks for that. Then go back at 32 weeks to measure the baby.

A little update

I had an appointment last week and My stomach was measuring 2 weeks ahead. Her heart rate was in the 150s like always, so that's good! I had gained 6 pounds in 3 weeks though. So I got a lecture from my doctor about it. He said he wanted me to gain only 2 pounds for that appointment. Even though I had gained 12 pounds this pregnancy so far(but since I started out over weight I'm only suppose to gain a total of 25 pounds.). I haven't been eating much differently than I have been, but I guess I'll have to start cutting down on certain foods before my next appointment. Here's my belly pic from week 22. I think there is a little difference from week 18. I no longer have an innie, It's not really an outie yet either though. My belly button will probably be an outie in a week or 2 for sure. I'm carrying out in front. I cant believe I'm 6 months pregnant. Not that much longer now! I have another appointment in a few weeks. For the 1 hour Glucose test and some other blood work and the Rhogam shot since I have RH- blood type. For over a week now, I have been experiencing some nose bleeds at night and shortness of breath depending on where she's at. So I have to sit down and kind of shake my belly to get her to move so I can breath better. It's really cool now I can feel where she's at. I'll have kind of a hard bulge and I can feel when she shifts to one side or to the top of my uterus. It's a weird feeling. Like a tightness and fullness feeling. My feet have started swelling now also. Not much though, just a little. Other than that, everything's great!!

Last night my mom and I went for the hospital tour. I really like the hospital I'm going to deliver at. I like that the baby stays in the room with you the whole time unless there is something wrong. They also have rooms with a jacuzzi . The jacuzzi tub is nice and big. I can only get that room to give birth in if I plan on having a drug free birth. I am planning on that, but I dont know if I'll be able to follow through. Not sure if I'll be able to take the pain of labor. I think it will depend on how long my labor will be though.

I went and had a 3d/4d ultrasound at 19 weeks and the tech guy didn't seem to really know what he was doing at all. He was arguing a little with my mom about how long a 20 week baby is, on all the websites it says they are 10 inches from head to toe and he kept saying they aren't that they dont get that long until the 8th month. He is so wrong though! Then he asked me if my baby's father was AA or CC. My mom wanted to know why and he said it's because AA baby boys have bigger penises than CC(we all know that's a myth) so of course we think he's crazy! he couldn't tell if the baby was a boy or girl after looking between her legs for 10min. So I told him we were already told the baby is a girl from 2 different doctors. Then after 5 mins he agreed. The baby kept turning so when he got to her face, her face was facing downward. So he told us we had to come back in a week. He did take 5 pics that were awful! One of them is a picture of her leg and rest of her except her face, but when he was taking the picture he said it was her arm but you can clearly see that it isn't and the other 4 pictures you cant tell anything. I wouldn't have gone back but I had already paid him.

When he redid the u/s a week later he did a much better job. The pictures were much better even though she was moving everywhere in there(I drank tea right before to help sooth a bad cough that I still have). I have a DVD of the u/s but can't figure out a way to upload it online. She was sucking on her fingers and had the hiccups again. She had no fat on her yet, but we did see that she now has eye brows and looks like she has a dent in her chin like I do. For the past couple of days she's been kicking the heck out of my bladder lol, not a pleasant feeling. Especially when you have a full bladder in the morning. My mom got to feel her moving 2 weeks ago. So that was great! I can not sleep or just lay on my back anymore, I have such a hard time breathing. Here are a couple of pics

Thank you for the thoughts and prayers!! my little nephew is doing much better today. They are taking out his feeding tube and his breathing tube today. So he can take a bottle now and breast feed. They might bring him home with a machine that goes off if the baby stops breathing. Because he sometimes forgets to breath when he is sleeping. His doctors have ruled that it must have been a common cold that almost killed him. His 4 year old sister has been sick with a cold for weeks and still isn't completely over it and my mom had told them they shouldn't let her around the baby so much(which is hard for them to do, because she still sleeps in their bed at night) and well they didn't listen and this is what happened. It's very dangerous for a preemie.

Here is my belly pictures, taken at 18.5 weeks. Which is when I seemed to have popped. I saw baby move from the outside a few times at 18.3 weeks right by my belly button. Now when she moves up higher my belly shakes a little. She mostly moves near my lower abdomen though.

I'll tell the good news first. My brother who's friend just had a baby boy last week, just got his paternity tests back and he is the father. He is SO happy, he was crying!
Here is my youngest nephew

and tomorrow isn't going to be a happy Thanksgiving. My moms house is going to be packed tomorrow. There's going to be about 25 family and friends over. But yesterday my sister who had an emergency C-section at 35 weeks, had to rush her baby boy to the hospital. He is very sick and of course her and her husband are going crazy with worry. Not sure if he'll make it. He's on 100% oxygen since last night. The doctors said he has all the symptoms of RSV, but his test results came back negative for that. They had 5 doctors working on him and might have to put tubes into is lungs. They're having a heart specialist come in. So no news or change yet. They have already put him on a stronger machine. We're just praying and hoping he gets better soon. He's only 3 weeks old and is about 6 pounds still

I've been MIA

Sorry I've been MIA for awhile. My older sister had an emergency c-section on Oct, 29th(she wasn't due until Dec, 1st). Her son weighed 6lbs 7oz and 19in long. A great weight for delivering him at 35 weeks. He is so cute! he came home a week later. Yesterday my brother stayed at the hospital with his friend for about 3 days. He was there for her during labor and her c-section and stayed with them until the day after her little boy was born. The baby might be his and he is hoping he is. But he'll have to wait for a paternity test.

As for me, I've gone shopping crazy. This little girl doesn't need anymore clothes for a year, lol!
I have just about gotten everything else too. I still need to get more bottles(I'm going to try breast feeding and pump) and I think that's about it. As for baby, I felt her move for the first time at 15.4 weeks and then every other day after that. At 16.5 weeks she was moving a lot at around 11pm and 12am. She is definitely a night person. It's such a weird feeling. I had a doctors appointment today and they did the 20 week u/s today instead of having me come back for it in 2 weeks. Baby is definitely a girl. She was moving a lot at this u/s and baby girl was measuring 4 days ahead. My Thyroid levels came back great. I was worried about that since it hadn't been tested since 3 months ago. I go back in 4 weeks for another 1 hour Glucose test(had it at 5 weeks too) and I have gained about 5 pounds so far. So everything's good. I'll post some belly pics at 20 weeks.

I had already bought tons of baby girl clothes(I couldn't resist), but kept everything in bags in case I had to return them. Luckily I don't. During the u/s baby girl was upside down and laying on her head most of the time. She also had the hiccups. So cute!

2nd Trimester YAY

Had another u/s the other day and baby was moving all over at this one. I had to drink 34 oz of water before this appointment. I was sitting in the waiting room for about an hour. So of course I had to really go to the bathroom. Anyways, it says on the u/s pic 14w4d, that is a big growth in just 8 days since my last u/s when baby was only measuring 2 days ahead. I was only 12w6d at this u/s and yesterday I entered the second trimester. YAY!

For the past week, my lower abdomen has been very sore. Like when you have a cyst about to burst. Very painful when I have a full bladder. So mornings have been tough trying to walk to the bathroom after I wake up. My doctor says it's round ligament pain, but from what I've read rlp is a sharp pain you get when you move real fast a certain way. So it doesn't sound like the pain and soreness I have been having is that, but I don't know. I did have my urine tested to see if I have a UTI, I dont though. It's more sore on my right side where my pelvic bone is.

On another note, I have not been drinking enough water at all. I have been only drinking half the water in a water bottle per day, because it just makes me sick. I'm trying to drink more though. I am very sensitive to smells. I hate the smell of vanilla candles and well just scented candles. Makes me very nauseated.

I'm glad I asked about this late last week, because my doctor forgot to schedule it. I thought the u/s that I'm having next week was for that. I guess that one is just an extra u/s. It went great. I think baby is a little like me already(lazy), lol!
He/she would not move(most likely sleeping), and the u/s lady had to keep shaking my belly. He/she was in the wrong position and would not budge for a while. She was able to get baby to start moving a little though. Baby is measuring 12w1d and I'm 11w5d today(3 days ahead). Heartbeat was 157bpm and she said everything was normal, which is great! Now I just have to do another blood draw in the second trimester. I'll do that when I get my thyroid levels rechecked in a few weeks. I really just did the NT scan to get an extra look at the baby. : )

On a side note, this morning sickness(I mean all day sickness) is kicking my butt. I'm almost scared to eat or drink anything, because it makes me feel so much worse. Juice and water makes it worse, except for soda which I'm trying to not drink at all. I need to start doing my 30min walks per day again, that's the only thing that seems to help. Other than that I get fuller faster when I eat. Which annoys me a little as I like to eat(well use to, lol). The good thing about this I guess is that I know baby is doing good. Cant wait to find out gender so that I can go baby clothes shopping.

I know it's early, but here are some of the names I like so far
I love boy names for girls, but I just don't know. Boy names are a little hard for me to pick out.

Girl names- Kendall, Tori, Colbie, Sydnee, Niki, Jade, Sienna(this will probaby be the middle name), and Chloe

Boy names- Cole, Kaleb

I know I'm going to keep changing the name and go back and forth on this. Once I finally decide on the name, I think I'll keep it a secret from my family until the birth, because I know once I tell my mom she's going to keep using it and I'm just really going to get tired of the name and want to change it again. lol

As for the baby's gender, I have no feelings on the gender. I really thought I would, but I don't. I'm going to guess girl though. I did do the baby physic reading when TTC. I had gotten a reading from Cheri 2 years ago, but she had told me she saw August(for either birth month, conceive month, or month I find out in) and that it would be a girl(and that she would fall over in her chair if she was wrong). Well I found out in August. So we'll see of she's right with gender.

It went well! At my last visit 2 weeks ago, I had gained about 3 pounds. At this visit, I lost the 3 pounds. Which I'm happy about. I had started this pregnancy overweight. So I dont want to gain that much. I cant eat much anyway. I get fuller quicker and if I eat a lot I feel sick. Today I had an intern practice on me. Me and my mom(she likes to come to all my visits) could tell he was nervous, lol!
He said I could take folic acid for now, but then try to start my prenatals again at 12 weeks. I think I'm just going to switch the prenatals.
He tried to hear my baby's heartbeat with the Doppler, but since he wasn't pushing hard on my abdomen with the Doppler(just very lightly) and my uterus is still behind pubic bone, he couldn't get the heartbeat. So the doctor helped him do an u/s. I got to see the baby and the heat flickering away. It was great! My mom refers to the baby as the bump since we dont know if the baby is a he/she. I should know in 5 weeks though. Cant wait!!. I have another u/s in 3 weeks. Hopefully I'll have some pics to post then and of course the gender u/s at 15 weeks(Holloween).

Pregnancy has been going great! I found my baby's heartbeat at 8.5 Weeks with my home Doppler. It was amazing!! I've been trying to find it about everyday since, but I couldn't find it at 9 weeks and 9.2 weeks at all and I looked for an hour 3-4 times. I could only find mine. It was very frustrating! I did find it again today. Baby was in a different spot then he/she was in 2 days ago. Hear rate has been in the high 170s each time. I have been really sick for almost 2 weeks. I thought it was all day morning sickness, but then my Mom told me that her friend said it might be my prenatal vitamins. So last night I didn't take it and I have felt fine all day. I think it was my prenatal. I think I'm either going to switch my prenatal or just take a folic acid and a multivitamin. I'll just ask the doctor. I have an appointment on Wednesday, I'm hoping I'll get an u/s.

Well, I went to emergency last night and was there for almost 4 hours. I had been feeling sick since the night after my u/s on Tuesday and after I ate dinner had been having stomach cramps, and last night they got extremely painful for about 15mins and then I had diarrhea(sorry tmi) so I went in, they don't know what the cause of the cramping was from, I'm thinking I'm either going to have to watch what I eat or I just caught what my Mom had the other day. She was sick for about 2 days and had the same symptoms except she kept throwing up too. I had came close to throwing up a couple of times with the cramps. Not sure if the nausea is related to my pregnancy or if I'm getting sick. Anyway they did a pelvic and an abdominal u/s and of course they never tell you anything while your having the u/s done and they turn the screen so you cant see it so you worry more. The doctor told me an hour later that everything looked great with the baby. I asked for the pics, so she just gave my a CD of the u/s. Cant really tell anything, except for 1 of the pics. I was 7w6d(based on ovulation date) and baby was measuring 2 days a head at 8w1d. Heart Rate was 168bpm. There's definitely a big difference with this u/s from the one I had on Tuesday.

they did a quick abdominal u/s. But I go back again on the 23rd. The u/s machine she had in the room was an old one and since she did it abdominal and I have a tilted uterus you cant see much, especially with an empty bladder, We did see the heart flickering which was great!!

I guess I am one of those women who dont have any symptoms. My boobs are a little tender, but that's all still. Here's the pic. It's not a good one as its still very early for an abdominal u/s. I feel better now, I was worried with no symptoms. The next u/s should be better since it will be vaginally and with a better u/s machine.

I'm having a pretty uneventful pregnancy so far. All the symptoms I was having before all went away 6 days ago(I dont know if that's a good thing or bad). I do get some cramps every once in a while, but that's it!
I had a pelvic exam the other day, some blood work, and the one hour Glucose test when I was only 4.5 weeks along(which I dont understand why they would do it so early). It came back normal. So that's good. My OB is going to try and listen to the heartbeat at my next appointment. I doubt my OB will be able to hear the heartbeat on a Doppler at only 7.5 weeks(they think I'll be 8 weeks by then based on my last AF, but based on ovulation day, I'll only be 7.5 weeks). Hopefully I'll get an u/s too.

So for this pregnancy had been going a long good. I have now started to have some symptoms. Heartburn here and there, some nausea, and some bad hunger pain around 2am and 8am and that's about it. I have been testing at least 3 times a day and my pregnancy test have been getting a little darker everyday. I'm going to stop testing now though. I have a prenatal appointment Sep. 8th. I should be about 7.5 weeks along by then.

My temp this morning freaked me out. My temps have been going down for the last 2 days. My test seem to be getting darker so far. Which is good. Here are today pics at 11DPO. The digital, I got from ebay since we dont have this one in the US. It tells you how many weeks after conception you are.

After 4 years and 37 insemination cycles including IUIs with fertility meds and all BFNs except for a chemical pregnancy in 2007. I just got a Faint second line on a FRER(First Response early result) today!! I'll try and post pics later tomorrow when the line hopefully gets darker. and I did home inseminations this cycle. As of right now, I am pregnant!!! OMG! I just hope it sticks this time! I am due April 22nd 2010. My birthday month. :)

I'm just going to do 2 home insems again in about 10 more days. I'm going to continue to keep trying and save up for IVF next year after taxes since you can claim the vials on your taxes. Hopefully I can conceive before then. I just had my Thyroid and Glucose retested yesterday and my Thyroid came back great. It was 1.45, but my Glucose came back a little elevated this time. I'm going to make an appointment to see about taking Metformin for my PCOS.

My Cake

Ok here is my cake for the Bake-Off, I just learned how to make Fondant(which was fun) and realized it doesn't look right using frosting over the fondant. It was so hot in the kitchen that the frosting was starting to melt. Anyway I then took the fondant off and just decided to frost it with chocolate frosting. The top half it yellow cake and the bottom half is chocolate cake. As for TTC, I do my HCG shot later today and then insemination on Sunday and then it's the long 2ww.

Sorry I haven't posted in a while! About 3 weeks ago, my brothers older sister announced she was pregnant again. She's happy about it, but right now her husband's not at all. Which I dont get why, since last year they were trying again and wanted another girl(they had their first girl 4 years ago, his first child and her third) but she hadn't gotten AF for a long time because of her thyroid issues. So they were surprised when they found out they were pregnant. She's due Dec. I cant wait! I'm sure he'll change his tune once the baby arrives. He acted the same way with her last pregnancy and once his daughter was born, he was and still is so smitten with her. He just adores her. A couple of days ago, A friend of the family came by to visit all of us and her oldest daughter just had a baby. He was just adorable! I held him the whole time they were here(which was most of the day) and now my arm is paying for it, lol! it's so sore. Here are some pics of him and a one with the baby booties I made. I just love his hair. he was 53 days old and slept most of the time. As for TTC, I'm going to try a different donor for next cycle once my AF gets here. Which should be tomorrow.

19DPO and still no AF

Here I am 19DPO today and still no AF. Temp is still way up and no cramping so it doesn't look like AF will be here anytime soon. AF was due Sunday. I'm almost a week late. Had beta at 17DPO which of course came back negative. Only did it because my mom kept bugging me to get it. RE thinks I may have a cyst and to let her know if AF hasn't shown up by Thursday. But I dont think a cyst would keep you from getting AF if you already ovulated. I think the progesterone really messed up my body, even though I stopped taking it at 12DPO a week ago. This is SO frustrating!!!

Well this cycle didn't work. Onto the next cycle. Just waiting for AF to show. My temps are still up high, but I think that's because of the progesterone. So I'm going to stop taking it.

Here's what I've been doing to try and keep my mind off of the long 2ww. I'm starting to get good at crocheting. Both of them aren't finished. I still have to make the dresses longer and put the buttons in the back. This is called the Solomon's Knot dress.

IUI #4

I had my IUI this morning 24 hours after HCG shot and the doctor said it was good timing because this time she didn't have any trouble getting to the cervix and getting the catheter through it. She also said I had good cm this time as the other times I didn't really have any. This time I'll be on progesterone. I hope this works!

Just got back from my follicle check and I have only 2 mature follicles. 19mm and 24mm and just did the HCG shot once I got home and then IUI tomorrow Morning at 9:30am. About 23 hours after HCG shot. I think I'll do an insem tonight and then IUI in the morning and then another insem tomorrow night. Lining is over 6mm(I'm glad it's not thinner). So the 100mgs of Clomid didn't do more then 50mgs did for me except mature my follicles faster. That's all for now.

Well change of plans, I'll be doing 100mgs of Clomid and 75IU Menopur combo. I hate the Menopur but respond very well to Clomid other then the thin lining it causes me, But the Doctor said it shouldn't thin my lining with the injectible. I'm planning to do a back to back IUI for this cycle. I go back for another follicle check next week on Friday the 24th.

Thyroid update

I got my Thyroid results back almost a week ago. It's now 3.91 which they say is normal. As for TTC, I haven't decided if I want to try another Femara cycle, or a Femara and injectible combination cycle. AF is due in about 1-2 more days.

I had my Thyroid tested yesterday and I have hypothyroidism. Which can affect ttc. So my RE wants to stop inseminations until it's under control. I will start thyroid meds probably tomorrow. I'm glad I got it checked. Hopefully I wont have to take a long break from TTC.

The dreaded 2ww begins

My IUI went well, She had to use 2 different speculums and catheters. It definitely hurt(but nothing knew there)! because my cervix was up real high and in a difficult position to get to the opening. I also told her about me getting a positive OPK on Saturday and she told me that I probably ovulated yesterday then and to hope for the best.
So fingers crossed that yesterdays insem did the trick. Update, well around 5:00pm I started having ovulation cramping that lasted 7 hours. So maybe the IUI was timed well.

ok I did an insem at 12:50pm today, about 16 hours after I took the HCG shot and about 24 hours from positive OPK. My cervix was open and had a lot of CM coming from it. So that's good! I'm sure I haven't ovulated yet. Probably tonight.

I have been taking OPKs for about 5 days now, but forgot to take one this morning. Well anyways at 5:20pm I took one because I have a lot of fertile CM right now and my OPKS are very dark positive. Should I take the HCG shot tonight as schedualed? should I take it now and should I cancel the IUI now? Will I ovulate before Monday's IUI since I already have my surge?

Todays follicle check

The follicle on the right side is 17mm. I took my last injection of Menopur today. So I get to trigger tomorrow night and then IUI is set for Monday morning. The 10mm follicle that was on the left must have shunk or something because all the follicles on the left side are very small. My uterine linning is 8mm now which is great!!! so I'm very happy about that. The only thing I have to worry about now is my vials staying frozen. I opened the Dewar yesterday and there is hardly any of the steam coming out. So I know it wont be very long before they start to thaw. I just hope they stay frozen for another 3 more days. I cant find any place close that will refill the Dewar.

Just came back from yet another follicle check today. I have a follicle on the left that is about 10mm and another on the right that is 14mm. The 14mm follicle will be the one I ovulate this cycle. The 10mm one most likely wont be mature enough. This time my RE actually did my follicle check this time. My follicle only seems to be growing 1mm per day. He wants me back for another follicle check on Friday. I am getting so tired of spending money on u/s. This will be my 5th one this cycle. I had to buy another box of Menopur and have to restart taking it today(this is my 3rd box this cycle). Also he tells me I have PCOS. I dont know why I'm just now being told this today(I think that's what makes me mad the most). Aren't PCOS women prescribed Metformin so that they'll respond better to fertility drugs? Now I know why I haven't gotten a good response to a low dose of Menopur. I feel like this cycle is already a bust and I'm hoping the tank can keep those vials frozen for about 5 more days(even though today is the 7th day since it left the sperm bank). The only good news is that my linning is 6mm. So I'm happy about that! If my follicle is ready by Friday, my RE said I would then get the IUI on Saturday since they aren't open on Sundays. I think that's a complete waste. Since my u/s is at 2:50pm. So the earliest I could take the HCG shot would be around 4pm. and to come in about 18 hours later for an IUI would be too early since most women ovulate 36 hours past HCG shot when your body hasn't surged before the trigger. I really have to think about this, because I'm really thinking of canceling the next u/s or at least the IUI and just do timed home inseminations. I wonder if my body will still surge on its own when the follicle is mature.

Follicle check didn't go well at all. My largest follicle is only 10mm and the rest are smaller and my uterine lining shrunk a little. It was 4.3mm and now is 4.2mm. I am SO man right now! I had to pay much more for this injectible cycle and the extra u/s cost for one follicle right now. I'm really thinking of just canceling this cycle. I dont see the reason to keep going through all this for one follicle when my body does that every month on a natural cycle. I'm sure I would have had a better response if they put me on another fertility drug like Femara or Clomid with it. Every fertility board I've been on, ladies are taking Menopur with something else. I rather have tried Follistim. It seems to work so much better. My swimmers have to go back Thursday and it doesn't look like I'll be that close to ovulating by then. My follicle(s) only seems to be growing 1mm a day this cycle. The only reason they put me injectibles was because the Clomid thinned my lining and the Femara didn't help it the next cycle. All they really had to do was give me something to thicken my lining. Sorry for the vent!

Not so good u/s today

Well my appointment was this afternoon. It didn't go very well. The Menopur seems to be making my follicles grow slowly which it what I was afraid of. The doctor didn't tell me how many follicles I had, She just measured one of them. I guess the biggest one and it was only 6.9mm and my lining is only 4.3mm(which is a little better as that's how thick it was on CD13 the last time). She did give me a copy of my follicles, but only of my right ovary. It does look like I have maybe 3 on that side about the same size, but not sure. So she put me on Menopur for 5 more days and I have to come back in on Saturday morning for another follicle check. I do not like the Menopur, But hopefully the end result will be worth it with a BFP!

My AF did come. No surprise there though. I had my baseline u/s scan today. They put me on 75IU of Menopur from CD3-7. I go back next Wednesday on CD7 for a follicle check. Have any of you taken Menopur? I'm hoping I respond well to it. I think I might have 2 inseminations done this cycle and I'm ordering my swimmers to come early this time incase there is another mess up with Fedex.

Ok I am SO impatient. I decided to try a home insemination this cycle over the weekend and Just give myself the HCG shot once I got a positive OPK for better timing my insem. Well, on a non medicated cycle I seem to have long cycles. Up to 42 days long and ovulate late. So this cycle I took Folic Acid and Omega 3-6-9 and Vitamin B6. I called to have my swimmers shipped Tuesday since Monday was a holiday. Well I took an OPK on Tuesday CD12(I always begin using OPK on CD12) and to my shock it was very dark positive(dont know if it would have been on CD11 though). I've never gotten a positive OPK this early before(the Omega, Folic Acid, and B6 must have worked). So I took the HCG shot at 3:00pm. I got a call about my tracking number and was told I should be getting my swimmers by 3pm on Wednesday. Well yesterday I called Fedex because it still hadn't arrived by that time and they tell me that there was a delay and that I wouldn't be getting my package until Thursday. So obviously I'm mad! I asked about the delay and she tells me that it was because they misplaced my package and forgot to put it on the plane. So because of this I missed ovulation. Later I call them again and a different person tells me it was delayed do to the weather and if it was because of weather they wont reimburse me. Anyway I had them put a note having me be the first delivery this morning(just incase I was lucky to not have ovulated yet). Well ovulation pain started on my right side around 10:30pm(usually when I have ovulation pain I ovulate at that time or 12 hours later) and this morning my temp went up, my cm is already changing, and my cervix was already closing. It is now almost 1:30pm and still no Fedex with my swimmers and the Fedex holding place they kept it at this morning is about 18mins(by freeway) away from where I live and my package was picked up at 8:16am this morning so obviously I wasn't the first delivery this morning(I hate the Fedex guy, he seems to always make me his last delivery). My mom wants me to just use it anyways just incase. I might but I'm not sure.

I'm really hoping this doesn't happen on my next cycle as that is my injectible cycle. I have no idea when I'll ovulate while on Injectibles and I dont want to have the swimmers shipped here to early. This is now going to be a long 2ww.

IUI #2 done

I had my IUI, It hurt SO bad! She had a hard time getting to my cervix and it was very painful!! I asked to have an ultrasound before the IUI to make sure I was going to ovulate today, but she said no and when the vial was being thawed, they just put it in a cup of cold water for 20 minutes and then did the insemination. She didn't even warm it up at all or look at them under a microscope to make she they were awake. She said that sperm dont like heat so she thaws it in cold water. I never heard of this. Even the other doctor that did my IUI last cycle warmed the vial up to body temperature and kept looking at them under the microscope until they were moving very fast. I also asked about my lining and she said that it was only 4mm on Monday. If this cycle doesn't work they'll be putting me on injectibles to help with my lining. I've been having ovulation pain since 8am this morning though, so I'm hoping I'm ovulating.

I just got back from my ultrasound... I'm on CD13 today... I took 5mgs of Femara on CD3-7, I have 2 mature follicles right now. I have a 21mm and 22mm follicle on the left side and a 14mm and a 12mm follicle on the right side. The 14mm could catch up by the time I ovulate. It will probably be about 18mm then. I take the HCG shot tonight and then have my IUI on Wednesday Christmas Eve. My uterine lining is still pretty thin. I forgot to ask how thick it was though.

Baseline ultrasound went well

I got them to switch me to Femara this cycle(I take 5mgs CD3-7). I dont know why but I seem to have different doctors each visit. For my baseline ultrasound I have a female doctor who I'll call Dr. C. The appointment went well I have no cyst(yay!) she told me to come back Monday of next week(on the 22) I'll be on CD13. I'll let you ladies know how that goes. They are hoping to do my IUI on Christmas Eve. Last cycle For my follicle check, My RE(Who I'll call Dr. G) did that ultrasound. He'll probably be doing my next one also, and for my IUI last cycle I had Dr. T who was going to be my RE. I wonder If she'll be doing my IUI this cycle. She told me that I had a tilted uterus(so my uterus is toward my rectum instead of toward my pubic bone ) so getting the catheter through my cervix and into the uterus is tricky.

I'm going to try again this month. It might be tricky since I should ovulate around Christmas and they aren't open on Christmas. So instead of taking the Clomid on CD5-9, I'm going to be taking it from CD3-7. I talked to my RE but was only able to email him my questions, and he still wants to keep me on Clomid even though It thinned my lining a lot last cycle. He wants me to stay on it for 3 more cycles and if no BFP by then, he'll set up a meeting so that we can discuss our next plan. I think I know why the HCG shot didn't work so well for me. I've noticed on other fertility boards that a lot of REs go by bloodwork to see if their body is starting to surge to tell them when the women should trigger. My RE's office doesn't do that. I think my body wasn't really ready to ovulate yet. I took an OPK before the HCG shot and there was hardly any second line. So I'm hoping that doesn't happen again. I'll have to make an appointment (after by baseline ultrasound tomorrow) for another ultrasound to check for follicle growth on Monday CD13(the week of Christmas). I'm sure they'll tell me to trigger that night to have the IUI Christmas Eve. But if that doesn't work out, I'll just do an at home insem and just time the HCG shot based on my LH surge.
